My Background

 

 

 

This is my background in terms of both education and employment history, which I've put together as a sort of mini CV.
I currently give seminars at the Sorbonne and work as a private guide in Paris.

Education:

2001 BPhil in the History of the Renaissance - University of Paris I.
Thesis: "Esoteric and alchemical Paris through civil and religious architecture".
Passed with distinction
1998 MA in History, archaeology module - University of Paris I.
1994 A-levels (philosophy/maths) - Lycée Henry IV, Paris.


Vocational training:

2000 Researcher at the public library in the 9th district of Paris.
1998 Archaeological excavations at the medieval site of Chastel-sur-Murat in the Cantal region.


Employment history:

2005 to date Seminar lecturer at the University of Paris I – UFR 09
Guide on "Esoteric Paris"
2002-2004 Library assistant – University of Paris I
1999 Guide at the Dijon museum of Burgundian life
1997 Tutoring for 1st year history students at the University of Paris I

Even though supermarket checkout work and grape-picking jobs are no longer a mystery to me, I'll spare you the details of all the summer jobs that have helped me to make an appearance in working life :o)

Hobbies:

Travelling: Finland, USA (New York), England, Holland, Germany, Croatia, Romania, Italy, Spain.

And when I'm not globe-trotting, you'll find me getting away from it all in my comic books… Incidentally, I'm also a budding sculptor, even though I'm not exactly what you would call talented :o)
